EASTON, MA – Junior catcher Amanda Morano and senior right-hander Nicole Welch have both garnered third-team All-League accolades from the Northeast-10 Conference in recognition of their outstanding performances this past season. The teams were voted upon by the conference’s 15 head coaches.

HORTON COMPLETES GRIND THROUGH LENGTHY SECOND AND THIRD ROUND
DANIELS, WV – The College of Saint Rose freshman Matt Horton wound up 95th among 106 individual entries at the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional that wrapped up this evening. The three-day event was played at the par-72; 7084-yard Cobb Course at The Glade Springs Resort.

HORTON TIED FOR 53RD AFTER DAY ONE AT NCAA ATLANTIC/EAST REGIONAL
DANIELS, WV – The College of Saint Rose freshman Matt Horton walked into the clubhouse in a tie for 53rd place this afternoon among 108 individual entries after round one at the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional Golf Tournament. The event, which features 20 teams and eight individuals from the two regions, is being held at the par-72; 7084-yard Cobb Course at The Glade Springs Resort.

SAINT ROSE SUFFERS A PAIR OF SETBACKS TO ASSUMPTION
ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose closed out its 2009 campaign with a pair of losses to visiting Northeast-10 Conference rival Assumption College today at Bleecker Stadium. The visiting Greyhounds (30-17-1/20-9-1 NE-10) won the first game 5-4 by taking advantage of six Golden Knights errors and then took the second “non-league” contest 6-0.

SAINT ROSE MEN ARE FOURTH, WOMEN ARE FIFTH AT NE-10 CHAMPIONSHIPS
LOWELL, MA – The College of Saint Rose men’s team recorded four school records to place fourth among nine competing teams and the women’s squad set three school standards to wind up fifth among eight institutions at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships that took place on the campus of UMass Lowell today. The Golden Knights also had a first place performance on each side of the meet.

WORCESTER, MA – The College of Saint Rose received a superlative pitching performance from senior right-hander Jeremiah St. Louis to take the opener 3-1, but host Assumption scored five runs in the sixth to capture the nightcap 8-2 in a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader today.
