ALBANY – Five student-athletes have signed national letters of intent indicating their desire to play for head coach Casey O’Connor beginning this year. The class represents three states and covers five positions. A trio of players hail from New York, while one comes from Massachusetts and another from Vermont.

ALBANY – American International College broke open a 1-1 ballgame by scoring four times in the top of the eighth to hand The College of Saint Rose baseball team a 5-3 Northeast-10 Conference setback today at Bob Bellizzi Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex. The Yellow Jackets (7-28/4-20 NE-10) snapped a 13-game losing streak in the process and split the regular-season series against the Golden Knights (14-29/8-16 NE-10), who played their final home game of the 2010 season today.

ALBANY – The steady rain that fell throughout today’s game at Bob Bellizzi Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex did little to dampen the bats as The College of Saint Rose and Saint Michael’s put on a classic three hour and 50 minute slugfest that the Golden Knights ultimately won 22-14. The scheduled second half of the doubleheader was cancelled due to the weather.
