ALBANY - The College of Saint Rose has announced its men’s soccer schedule for the 2010 season. The Golden Knights will play their inaugural campaign on the Dr. R. Mark and Kathleen Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex. Saint Rose will participate in 18 regular-season contests, 13 against Northeast-10 Conference opponents, with 10 dates on its new home synthetic turf surface.

ALBANY – Le Moyne College sophomore back Eddy Rosenburgh drove home his first strike of the 2009 season from 30-yards out into the lower right corner to hand The College of Saint Rose men’s soccer team a 3-2 loss in overtime this afternoon at UAlbany’s Varsity Field. It marked the seventh one-goal setback of the year for the Golden Knights, who close out their 2009 slate with a 2-15-1 overall mark and a 1-11-1 league record.

ALBANY – Defending Northeast-10 Conference champion Southern New Hampshire broke open a 0-0 deadlock by scoring three times within a five minute stretch throughout the final ten minutes of the first half en route to a 4-1 victory against The College of Saint Rose this afternoon. The Penmen (12-1-2/9-0-2 NE-10), ranked #5 in the most recent NSCAA/Adidas Division II Poll, ran their unbeaten stretch to 13 matches in the process.

The Yellow Jackets (7-8-0/4-5-0 NE-10) scored in the opening five minutes and thwarted several opportunities by the Golden Knights (2-11-1/1-8-1 NE-10) to walk away from the UAlbany campus with their second consecutive victory following Saturday’s 3-2 home triumph against Assumption.
