ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose will induct four former outstanding student-athletes, one of whom happens to be one of the nation’s most successful NCAA Division II basketball coaches, and the 1990 baseball team into its Athletics Hall of Fame during an on-campus ceremony at the Thelma P. Lally School of Education on Saturday, October 23, at 6:00 pm. The induction ceremony will be held as part of the College’s Family Homecoming Weekend celebration.

ALBANY - The College of Saint Rose has announced its women’s soccer schedule for the 2010 season. The Golden Knights will play their inaugural campaign on the Dr. R. Mark and Kathleen Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex. Saint Rose will participate in 18 regular-season contests, 15 against Northeast-10 Conference opponents, with 11 dates on its new home synthetic turf surface.

ALBANY – Nine student-athletes have indicated their commitment to participate for The College of Saint Rose women’s soccer team this upcoming season. Four of the nine members hail from New York, while Massachusetts, the state of Washington, Ontario and Ireland are all represented in this year’s class.

ALBANY – New York State Senator Neil D. Breslin, Democrat 46th District, recently sponsored a resolution honoring The College of Saint Rose women’s soccer team for their excellent sportsmanship and for reaching the national semifinals of the 2009 NCAA Women’s College Soccer Championship.

ALBANY – Albany Mayor Gerald D. Jennings declared today “Saint Rose Women’s Soccer Day” in the city and presented the team with a proclamation recognizing their historic 2009 season. The mayor furthermore announced a $200,000 grant from the U.S. Soccer Federation that will help offset the costs of construction of the field turf for the all-weather lacrosse/soccer facility at the new Plumeri Sports Complex, which will also feature baseball and softball diamonds, and a practice field.
