ALBANY - The College of Saint Rose men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs have earned the distinction of Scholar All-American Teams by the Collegiate Swim Coaches Association of America. The Saint Rose men’s squad was listed along with a mere 23 other NCAA Division II institutions, while the women’s team was one of only 36 NCAA II schools recognized for the spring 2010 semester.

ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose is represented by five student-athletes on three Northeast-10 Conference Academic All-Conference teams in recognition of outstanding athletic and academic achievement from this past winter season. The teams were voted on by a committee of athletic administrators and Faculty Athletic Representatives (FAR) within the league.

CANTON, OH – Freshman Caitlin Brauer missed qualifying for the 200-yard breaststroke finals by a mere 0.28 seconds at the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships this morning. Brauer, the first female to ever represent Saint Rose at the NCAA Championships, went 2:23.07 to wind up 17th among 34 competitors at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton. Her performance was the event’s second-fastest clocking by a freshman and closed out a superlative four days on the national stage for the youngster.

CANTON, OH – Sophomore Vadim Yafayev earned his second career honorable mention All-America award in the 400-yard individual medley with a ninth place time of 4:00.23 at the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships this evening. The meet is being held at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton, OH.

NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships this morning. Meanwhile, freshman Caitlin Brauer went 2:09.78 to wind up 31st among 54 participants in the women’s 200 IM at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton, OH.
