ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose has placed more members than any other institution on the 2009 Daktronics East All-Region squad. The Golden Knights are represented by four players on the team that is comprised of 13 first-team selections and 13 additional second-team picks. The selected group of individuals was chosen by NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors throughout New England, New York State, New Jersey, Delaware and the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Junior back
Kelly Guerin garnered first-team honors and thus her name will be forwarded to the national ballot. The 2009 Daktronics All-America Team is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, December 1.

Susan Cowan earned second-team accolades.
Guerin and Whiting help spearhead a Saint Rose defensive unit that leads the NE-10 and is second in the nation with a 0.27 goals-against-average. Saint Rose has allowed a mere six goals all season, none in the first half. Deck has produced a team-leading 23 points with eight goals, including five game-winners, and seven assists; while Cowan leads the nation with a 0.15 GAA and a .956 save percentage.
Saint Rose, one of only two remaining unbeaten teams in the country (West Florida), is scheduled to make its fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament East Regional championship game appearance on Friday when the Golden Knights (22-0-0), ranked #2 in the final
NSCAA/Adidas Division Poll, host #20 Franklin Pierce (18-4-1) on the campus of Siena College. Kickoff is set for 11:00 am with the Atlantic Regional Championship match between Indiana, PA (14-6-2) and California, PA (18-5-1) to follow. The winners will meet at 1:00 pm Sunday in a national quarterfinal game.
