Kelly Guerin represents The College of Saint Rose on the 2009 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® Team that is administered by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Guerin, a third-team pick, is one of only 33 women’s soccer players from small colleges across North America, who has been honored with one of the most prestigious awards bestowed upon a collegiate student-athlete.
In order to be eligible for selection to the Academic All-America® team, a student-athlete must have participated in at least half of her team’s competitions and be either a starter or a significant contributor, have achieved a 3.3 cumulative grade-point-average (on a 4.0 scale) and completed at least one academic year at her current institution.
Guerin is a biology major who carries 3.89 GPA. On the field; she is a vital component for a Saint Rose defensive unit that leads the Northeast-10 Conference and is second in the nation with a 0.25 goals-against-average. Saint Rose has allowed a mere six goals all season, none in the first half.

NSCAA/Adidas Division II Poll and are one game away from a national championship appearance. Saint Rose is scheduled to take on Grand Valley State, MI (20-0-4) in an NCAA Tournament semifinal encounter Thursday, December 3 at Pepin Stadium on the University of Tampa campus. Kickoff is set for 5:00 pm.
