EASTON, MA – Five student-athletes from The College of Saint Rose have been recognized by the
Northeast-10 Conference for superior athletic and academic achievement throughout the 2008-09 winter and spring sports seasons.
Junior outfielder

Alicia Robinson of the women’s swimming and diving squad and senior
Kevin Jackson, along with graduate students
Pat Cullen and
Brad Lewis, of the men’s track and field team; have garnered All-Academic accolades in their respective sports. Voting was conducted by the conference’s Sports Information Directors.
Price was honored for the second consecutive year. The business administration major carriers a 3.83 overall GPA (4.00 scale) and batted .303 (50-for-165) with 24 RBI for the Golden Knights who finished 14-16 (21-27 overall) this past season. Price also finished seventh in the league with a team-leading 18 stolen bases and wound up with 16 multi-hit games on the year.
One of only four sophomore female swimmers chosen, Robinson took fourth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.72 and was sixth in the 100 free with a 56.08 performance at this year’s conference championships. An early childhood/special education major, Robinson owns a 3.71 GPA and is a member of the school record holding 200 (1:41.0), 400 (3:44.67) and 800 (8:07.40) free relay teams as well as the 400 medley relay (4:03.44) squad.
Cullen received his MBA in May on the strength of a 3.52 GPA. He graduated as the school record holder in the 10,000 meter (32:38.80) and two mile (10:03.65) runs outdoors. He also owns the Saint Rose standard at the 3000 (8:51.98) and 5000 (15:12.21) meter distances indoors and is furthermore part of the school record 4x880 relay team. Cullen also taught an undergraduate course (CIS 100) at Saint Rose this past semester.
Lewis, a three-time NE-10 All-Academic selection in both cross country and track & field, is currently pursuing an MBA at Saint Rose after finishing his undergraduate studies in business administration with a 3.92 GPA. He took second in the 3000 meter run with a time of 8:59.88 at the NE-10 indoor championships and was fourth in the 3000 steeplechase at the outdoor meet behind a 9:37.15 clocking. Lewis runs his own lawn care business and worked in the College’s tutorial center throughout his undergraduate career.
As for Jackson, he has established himself as arguably the Golden Knights top all-around performer. He broke the tape in 15.23 in the 110 hurdles at the NE-10 outdoor championships and was second in the 55 hurdles with a time of 7.68 at the indoor championships. Jackson carries a 3.48 GPA and is the school record holder in both the 110 hurdles (15.08) and triple jump (13.3 meters), and is part of the school record holding 4x100 (43.92) and 4x400 (3:22.59) relay teams outdoors. He also holds school records in the 55 meter dash (6.67) and both the 55 (7.89) and 60 meter hurdles (8.33) and is furthermore a member of the school record holding 4x200 (1:36.03) relay team indoors.
To be eligible for selection to the NE-10 All-Academic Teams, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum standards: 1) participated in at least half of the team’s competitions and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale); and 3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current institution.
