ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose women’s swimming and diving team captured seven events, while the men’s squad took eight events to help secure a sweep in dual meet action this afternoon against visiting Saint Michael’s College. The women upended the Purple Knights 121-78, while the men came away with a 113-88 triumph.
For the women, freshman
Caitlin Brauer recorded her sixth school record of the year after winning the 200-yard freestyle in 1:58.85. Meanwhile, sophomore
Caitlin Peterson picked up a pair of victories in the 100 and 1,000 free. Peterson stopped the clock in 55.85 to take the 100 and registered a 10:52.72 clocking in the 1,000.
Junior
Amy Lamparelli also chalked up a pair of individual wins for the Golden knights. Lamparelli captured the 400 individual medley in 4:49.02 and won the 100 butterfly in 1:02.82. She also swam the third leg on the winning 400 medley relay squad that finished with a time of 4:15.27. Lamparelli was joined by sophomores

Naomi Woodcock.
As for the men, sophomore
Bryan Shaver and freshman
Joseph Krok led the way behind two first place finishes apiece. Shaver took the 100 free in 49.16 and the 200 free in 1:49.77. Meanwhile, Krok was victorious in the 50 free with a 22.78 clocking before taking the 100 backstroke in 57.70.
Additionally, Shaver swam the lead leg on the 400 medley relay team that produced a winning time of 3:47.80. Shaver was joined by senior

The Golden Knights have a short turnaround before hitting the water again. Saint Rose will make the trip to Bentley University where it has a dual meet scheduled for tomorrow at 1:00 pm in Waltham, MA. Meanwhile, the Purple Knights are off until Wednesday when they host Clarkson University for a 4:00 pm dual meet in Colchester, VT.
