FORMER SAINT ROSE STAR GARTH JOSEPH LEADS DOMINICA TO BRONZE MEDAL
Former Saint Rose star Garth Joseph led his native Domiinica to the bronze medal at the Windward Islands Basketball Tournament.

ALBANY – Garth Joseph, one of the most popular players to ever don a uniform for The College of Saint Rose, led his native Dominica to a bronze medal at the Windward Islands Basketball Tournament last week in Grenada. He recorded 42 points and a tournament-high 34 rebounds for Dominica, which finished 2-1 with victories against Grenada and St. Lucia.
Joseph played for the Denver Nuggets and the Toronto Raptors during the 2000-01 NBA season and also played professionally in Egypt, Iran, France, China and Ukraine following his time with the Golden Knights.
The 7-2 Joseph wore a size XXXXL uniform and a size 18 shoe at Saint Rose. He closed out his three-year collegiate career (1994-95 – 1996-97) as the College’s all-time rebounder (1,072) and shot blocker (300). Joseph furthermore scored 1,289 points, recorded 58 “double-doubles” throughout 89 games, and led the Golden Knights to an 82-15 (.845) record along with three NCAA Tournaments including the program’s first “Elite Eight” appearance in 1995-96.
