ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose has announced the men’s golf schedule for the fall portion of the 2010-11 season. The Golden Knights will compete in five tournaments, including the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, in addition to hosting their own event for the second consecutive year.
Saint Rose will kick off its season at the Assumption College Shootout on Tuesday, September 7 at Blackstone National Golf Course in Sutton, MA. It marks the second year in a row the Golden Knights open their season at this event.
Nine days later, Orchard Creek Golf Club serves as the site of the second annual Saint Rose Fall Shootout. Last year, the Golden Knights captured both team and individual medalist honors in the inaugural tournament that was held at Colonie Golf and Country Club.
Saint Rose plays three tournaments over a three week span beginning September 24-25 at the Dowling Invitational put on by Dowling College at Long Island National Golf Club. The Golden Knights then gear up for the NE-10 Championship that is being hosted by Le Moyne College at En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott. A total of 12 teams will compete at the home of the Champions Tour’s Dick’s Sporting Goods Open for an automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Tournament.
The fall slate concludes on Columbus Day weekend at the Charger Challenge, which is being hosted by Dominican College at Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern.
