EASTON, MA – Junior outside hitter
Christina Strezenec from The College of Saint Rose has been recognized as the
Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, November 4.
Strezenec helped Saint Rose go 2-0 this past weekend for the third straight week, earning both victories on the road by the score of 3-0. The first came on Friday at Saint Anselm followed by Saturday at Saint Michael's. In those two matches, Strezenec averaged 3.17 kills and 3.83 digs per-set. She fell one kill shy of a “double-double” at Saint Anselm with nine kills and 12 digs before achieving a “double-double” of 10 kills and 11 digs at Saint Michael's.
The Golden Knights are back in action this evening, hosting Assumption for a 7:00 pm conference match. This is the first of three home matches this week for Saint Rose, finishing with UMass Lowell on Friday at 7:00 pm and Merrimack on Saturday at 1:00 pm. In last week's regional rankings, Saint Rose was fifth in the East Region.
