Jourdan Thompson from The College of Saint Rose has been named the
Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, September 8, 2013.
Thompson directed a Golden Knights defensive unit that did not surrender a shot or a corner kick throughout its first two games of the year. Saint Rose, which is ranked #4 in the
NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II preseason poll, upended visiting Nyack 7-0 in last Thursday's season-opener and defeated Felician 4-0 this past Saturday.
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights return to the pitch tomorrow with a 4:30 pm non-conference home date versus Roberts Wesleyan.
